Non-Calligraphy ⅩⅤ
2009
Non-Calligraphy ⅩⅤ is a new visual experience, it uses “written” lines to achieve balance, pureness and tranquility. Traditional ink-painting language in the highly sensitive glass would be released completely, broke out in tension, and enhance visibility and strangeness. It also makes traditional ink-painting freehand ideas have newest technological changes which emphasizes the flowing image and transparency. It uses the natural infiltration of small-sized glass in high temperature in order to form multiple-layered, blurry-outlined, inartificial halo of ink. Also, it intentionally enlarges the energy of black brick glass to form the subtle changes in intensely-black ink, so as to acquire transparency and high-density which is hard to be achieved in traditional paperwork and shapes form that has independent aesthetic value.
