In 2011, Steven Weinberg just won the Rhode Island Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts in recognition of his 35-year achievements in glass art. So far, the artist has held over 50 solo exhibitions around the world, and his works have been collected by and exhibited at the Corning Museum of Glass, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art and other world-class museums and art institutions.

His works have become part of the collections of the Royal Museum of Scotland, the Alexander Museum in Germany, the Shanghai Museum of Glass, the China Pavilion of the Shanghai World Expo, as well as the collections of other institutions and individuals.
