Stacking Vessels
2012
Stacking Vessels combines craftsmanship and functionality. Like a nesting doll, each vessel consists of three separate containers made from various techniques fusing brass, wood, and studio glass. Whether it’s glass blowers, carpenters, ceramicists, metal spinners, or most recently, cork experts, the designer sourced talent from small, specialised European workshops. The product philosophy is to combine traditional materials in innovative ways that change conventional perceptions.
