自20世纪70年代以来，安东尼·蒙塔达斯以观念主义方法持续探讨资本主义条件下私人与公共之间的张力。此次展览以他对“家”这一概念的长期研究为线索，展开对当下处境的考察。“家/屋”既是物理与精神的双重空间，也是当代多重危机中愈发脆弱的庇护所，不断被全球化与地缘政治的力量重塑。

上海玻璃博物馆于11月6日荣幸为观众呈现本年度“退火”项目的另一全新展览《家是边境——蒙塔达斯的玻璃项目》。展览以艺术家安东尼·蒙塔达斯的独特视角展开，探讨“家”在当代世界中的流动、断裂与重构。作为欧洲最早使用多媒体进行观念艺术创作的艺术家之一，蒙塔达斯自20世纪70年代起便以其对全球主义视角下社会结构与传播机制的敏锐洞察而闻名。他的作品横跨影像、文本、空间与出版，多维度地探讨权力、信息与感知之间的关系。

蒙塔达斯以“持续的位移”为核心展开实践，将跨越文化与地理边界的经验转化为对“家”的反思，并借助“玻璃”这一具有透明、隔离与交换属性的材料，揭示公共生活如何是重新界定“家”的边界的。展览通过“微交流”“转译”“共有空间”“原型建筑”四个维度回溯蒙塔达斯的创作脉络，呈现这位坚定的观念主义者在“家”的内外游走时，个体经验与时代精神之间的动态对话。

Antoni Muntadas has, since the 1970s, consistently employed extensive conceptualist methodologies to critically investigate the tension between the private and the public under capitalist conditions. This exhibition is dedicated to his ongoing exploration of the concept of “home/house”. Understood as both a physical dwelling and a mental landscape, the relation of “home/house” is fundamental to human existence and activity.

At the core of Muntadas’s artistic practice is “constant displacement,” through which he translates experiences of traversing cultural and geographical divides into profound reflections on “home.” He employs “glass”—a material inherently possessing qualities of transparency, separation, and interchange. The exhibition, structured around four key perspectives—”Micro Communication,” “Being in Translation,” “Contested Communal Space,” and “Archetypal Architecture”—charts the artist’s enduring investigation into the internal and external dimensions of “home,” inviting visitors to engage with the dynamic interplay between Muntadas’s personal trajectory and the spirit of our times.
